Enjoy your day. [00:01:04] Speaker A: All right. Our month, however long you want to celebrate it. And if you're having an anniversary today, this month or this week, happy anniversary. Happy anniversary to you. And yes, many, many, many more anniversaries. Okay? [00:01:28] Speaker B: All right. [00:01:31] Speaker A: Absolutely. [00:01:34] Speaker B: All right. Today we're going to be talking about a lot of stuff. And. And to have, I guess, would be the short phrases. Depression. We're going to talk about depression. We're going to be talking about having a bad day, and we're going to be talking about, you know, such stuff like that today on the JB and I show. Now, depression is a really big thing. You know, they have medication for it. They have counselors and such that specialize in it. They have studies that have studied it and all of that. It's. It's a difficult thing to deal with. And sometimes it's just hard to, like, explain to someone, even a loved one, how you might be feeling in that depressionary state in that moment. If you need to reach out to a counselor, please do so. You know, and we always have the saying, don't do the enemy any favors, okay? And that's the 22 a day thing. There's no need for you to, you know, delete yourself or anyone, all right? And seek help if you need help, okay? There's always help out there. And I just want to encourage you today to let you know how awesome that you are, that you are magnificent, you're wonderful, and you're needed, and you have people who love you, you know, and God loves you, okay? And. And that's. That's the truth. God do love you, okay? And sometimes, you know, we. We all have bad days, all right? It just seemed like sometimes things just don't go right. Seem like everything has gone wrong. Set four alarm clocks. Don't wake up late. You know, get to work late. And as soon as you get to work, your boss is right. There chewing you out. All right. Yeah, we have, we all have bad days and, and I'm not marginalizing your situation. Okay. Just trying to express an understanding. And we all have bad days and, and sometimes it seemed like it's the whole day from freaking the boss riding you like he riding a horse or bull at the rodeo and to you know, having, you know, that life reflection thing. We're coming up on the holidays and this is the time where a lot of people have that life reflection thing, you know, and they get depressed because they're not where they want to be at. They're not happy where they are. You know, all of that. I understand that, you know, and I'm, I, I go through it myself. I'm not trying to pretend like I'm, you know, I'm not affected by it. I have my days as well where I look back at stuff and I'm just like, man, I couldn't do better, you know, and, you know, saying. And it, it does hurt, you know, when you look back and you realize that you didn't do as good if you could have. And in the moment, you probably was thinking that you might have getting got. May have thought at that time that you would have get another shot at whatever it is. And not until later that you find out that was it, buddy, you don't get no more. You know what I'm saying? And far too often sometimes we do think like that. We do think that, oh, okay, I just come back to it later and not realizing there, there is no later, you know, especially in some instances or for whatever, you know, the category may be. In some cases it might be a job opportunity where the opportunity just expires. Other times it could be a promotion where the. Promote the person that's trying to promote you just no longer at that location anymore. And we thought that it was, we didn't know that it was advocated by that particular person. I mean, I'm just stating particular situations how it can expire, the opportunity can expire and you're not realizing that that is your, your shot, you know, and you, and then afterwards you're depressed because you realize after the fact how they say hindsight is 20 20. Yeah. And that's understandable. We all go through that. We all grow through that. Absolutely. And part of it is, is understanding, like when you do stuff, you know, for your opportunity, try to do the best that you can, sometimes you, you can improve once you learn different aspects and, and such like that. But if you're doing the best that you can if you've given 100%, then you've done the best you could. But if you're not giving 100, then, you know, and that, that doesn't help anything that contribute to the depressionary state because, you know, you didn't give 100. You know, I was a sports person growing up. You probably can't tell now because I got a gut. I'll get into that later. But I was a sports guy growing up, mainly football. I played football, I lift weights, I did swimming, all of that. And there were times where I didn't give 100% all the time. Every play. I did not. I did not. But over time, and when we lost the game and I realized I didn't give 100%, I was sad, not at anybody else, but at myself, because I know I didn't give 100%, you know, and that me not giving 100%, I knew, cost us the team, the game, and. And that hurt me a lot. I learned from it. And sometimes it's just difficult trying to give a hundred percent because of the laziness, you know, and it's like, man, I don't want to do it. And there's literally nothing stopping you from doing it. It says it's just, you just don't want to, you know, and sometimes that might be okay, but that's not okay all the time. It's just like having a fast food day. Having a fast food day or fast food meal is cool in my opinion, but having a fast food day every [00:08:33] Speaker A: day and a fast food meal every meal, I'm. I have a, you know, problem with [00:08:38] Speaker B: that because that gonna go against whatever your fitness goals are, health goals that you have for yourself. Okay. And one of the other things I wanted to, you know, let you know is that there's help out there for depressionary stuff. I'm not saying that, you know, you need to go out and get help, but if you need it, it's there. But if you don't need it, that's fine too, you know, if. But if you need it, don't allow your pride to put you into a worse position than, you know, than anything else. Okay. And sometimes we might feel like the world is against us because of our bad day or situation or whatever. And in some cases, you might come across some people who also having bad days hurt people. Hurt people, you know, and if they're having a bad day and you're having a bad day and they choose violence and you choose peace. Yeah. It didn't snowball into a big situation, but now you're angry because you would have, should have, could have done whatever, but it's good that you didn't do it, because that would have made this whole situation worse. Okay. And other thing I wanted to say, I have friends, you know, who talk about, you know, dealing with depression and such like that, and it's a real thing. But your actions is. You're liable for your actions regardless of how you feel. That's why you seek help. Okay. The other thing I wanted to say, like, you know, sometimes it might feel like people are against you, and it might be some people who might be against you for whatever reason. They might not like you because you're a man. They might not like you because you're a woman. They might not like you because of your ethnicity. They might not like you because of your religion or your religious practices. They might not like you for whatever reason, you know, and you have no control over that because that's how they feel. What you have control over is yourself and how you respond. You know, you could choose kindness, you could choose understanding, and you could choose to stay away from that person if you can. If y' all work in the same work center, it might be a little different, difficult to do that. But if y' all don't, then it might be easier. You know, I have situations where is. Sometimes I just don't want to deal with some people, but I have to deal with them because they're in certain locations that I always go, and I'm just like, am I going to not go to this location just for that one person? And you know what I mean? That's kind of silly, right? No matter how much that person gets on your nerve, you change your whole thing because you don't want to deal with that person and such like that. I mean, if you feel it's necessary to do, by all means, do it. But me personally, I. I try not to do that because it's like, okay, I'm gonna inconvenience myself even more because of this. One person giving me a hard time, basically is what we would call bullying, right? And there's so many different aspects of bullying, you won't even realize. Some people won't even realize that they're being bullied, you know, until later on. They're like, oh, well, I didn't know that he was being bullied because he's [00:12:30] Speaker A: bigger than that person. [00:12:32] Speaker B: That's like the words people say, you know what I'm saying? That's still bullying. You know what I mean? Because if you were to lose control and knock the person out. Now you're the bully and you're bigger than the other person. So now you're not just a bully, you're the bad guy. And they. They're wholeheartedly ready to persecute you. But then you don't do nothing. Even if you say something. They're like, that small dude ain't bully you. He can't beat you up. Not physically, no. You see what I'm saying? So, yeah, I get that. I get all of that. But I just want to let you know that you can do it, that you're awesome. And, and don't. If you have to change your schedule to make your life better than do that. If you have to drive it extra two miles to a different location, you know what I'm saying, then do that. You know, whatever you got to do to make your life better, don't allow yourself to be relentlessly bullied, because a lot of bullies will do that and hide behind, you know, the auspice of. I didn't know. I didn't. I didn't do anything. So don't, don't do that. Okay? So. And the next thing I want to talk about to you guys is, is, you know, understanding that we're all going to have hard days, you're going to have bad days, you're going to not even have a bad week. Some people might even be like, yo, I got a bad year, bro. You know what I'm saying? But I want to encourage you, to let you know that you could do it and that you're awesome. Okay? We do have bad days, bad, you know, thing. And we might try a business venture that might fail. We might try doing something that, you know, we really put our heart, mind, money, study, research, everything into it, and it still fail. [00:14:26] Speaker A: Yeah, that does hurt. [00:14:28] Speaker B: But at the end of the day, at least you tried. At least you gave it 100%. And you. That's nothing to be ashamed of. If you give 100% and it didn't come out, you know, the way you wanted it to, and that's understandable. And that's nothing to be ashamed of. Okay? If you can. Sometimes that one shot is that one shot, probably don't have the resources to try it again. And that's. That's the reality of life. At least. At least you did try. You see what I'm saying? So, And I want to talk. I was going to talk about kindness, being, Being kind, being polite, being nice. You know, sometimes, you know, being nice. Is a good thing. You know, some people take niceness for weakness because they don't understand that you're choosing to be nice. You know, it's not that you're ignorant to everything else that's going on. You're choosing to be nice. You know, especially if you assessing the situation and you're just like, you know what? I ain't gonna worry about it. I'm gonna be nice. You know what I'm saying? And. And, you know, is. Being kind is. Is, you know, it's a good thing, you know, being kind to people, being kind to one another. You know, saying, even if the person might be having a bad day, you might be kind to them. Like, don't take it personal. They might be having a bad day. You know, you don't know what kind of day they're having. So don't take it personal. Just be like, you know, keep it pushing. All right? And so I want to. I wanted to say all that to tell you that, you know, you're never alone or you're not alone. Everybody have their bad days, Everybody have their bad weeks. Everybody have their bad months, years and such like that. Sometimes it seemed like it's never going to end. Especially when you're in the middle of the storm or you're in the storm, you know, it seemed like it's never gonna end, but when it does, you're like, God, you know, oh, my goodness. So, you know, and I wanted to come to you guys like this so I can, you know, I might do more like this so that we could talk and. And you guys can see me and such like that. I have a new device I got. I'm gonna practice with it. I. I didn't use it today. Where did I put it at? It was right here. This is my work desk. So I get this kind of messy. I got this. I'm gonna try to record with this today and see how. How it comes out and such like that. I'm gonna leave you with this. You know, your accomplishments may not be where you initially want to be, but you have accomplished something that's awesome. You know, whether you're a parent and a good parent, you know, achieve your college degree, that's an achievement, you know what I'm saying, and doing well. Got a house, got an apartment, you know, got a significant other you can spend your time with and such like that, those are all good things. You know, someone who cares about you, worry about you, want to make sure that you are okay. That's important because there's A lot of scammers out there that don't care anything about you, that will tell you all the good words you want to hear and then follow it up with hey, just give me some money, you know, and such like that. But, you know, and I. I say it in jest, and I want you guys to understand how important you are and how significant you are to society, to this world. You're magnificent. Okay? Continue to keep on keeping on. Continue to strive towards your fitness goals and such like that. You might have setbacks, you might have pitfalls and such like that, but it is achievable. I've seen many people achieve it. One famous person, Big Bronson Reed. Big Bronson Reed the wrestler, lost a lot of weight. He came back, made his new debut way lighter than he was when he left. Okay? So it's possible. Whether you gain a weight, chiseling up, losing weight, you know, all of that is possible, okay? And I just want to encourage you, and if you have that business idea and stuff like that, yeah, it's going to take some research, it's going to take some planning and such like. That is going to take some effort, but it's not impossible. You can do it. Okay? I just want to encourage you today, let you know how awesome you are. Okay? And, yeah, I don't want to turn this into a religious thing. I am Christian, so I'll be coming from a Christian point of view, a Christian aspect and stuff like that. So just understand that as well. Okay? All right. Hopefully you have a wonderful, great day. Rest of your day. [00:19:50] Speaker A: Few plugs.
